MSE Intermezzo

MSE Intermezzo, directed by Rohan Mack, advances the skills of players who are performing at a high level but are not quite ready for the senior group. Students in MSE Intermezzo develop ensemble skills and the technical mastery necessary for advanced ensemble participation. To develop their musical teamwork, the MSE Intermezzo performs unconducted.


The expected entry standard is as follows;

  • Violin: AMEB Grade 7 plus
  • Cello/Viola: AMEB Grade 5 plus

Rehearsals are scheduled on Saturdays during school terms in Kew from 3pm-5pm

IMSE Fees

MSE is a not for profit organization that is run via a committee of management. Fees include our rehearsal and concert programme, participation various masterclasses, an intensive workshop day and membership to the association.
