35th Anniversary Concert

Melbourne Recital Centre

The Seasons: MSE celebrates 35 years

Melbourne String Ensemble in collaboration with acclaimed First Nations Composers presents a playful program of new works and old classics full of contrasts and surprises.

Past and present players come together in The Seasons to celebrate the Melbourne String Ensemble’s 35th anniversary with a fitting program of well-loved classics by Vivaldi and Vaughan Williams and new commissioned works by William Barton, Chris Sainsbury and James Henry.

Alumni will be joining MSE on stage to perform Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. Please get in touch via the contact us page if you are an alumni and would like to join us.

The Seasons Concert forms part of an exciting new project that fosters connections to local communities, culture and our environment; exploring how we tell stories through music and how music can create narratives that influence how we see. Find out more about The Seasons project here.
