Eve Silver
Eve Silver began learning cello at the age of eight. She started on piano at the age of three and continued both instruments until focusing solely on the cello after high school. Eve completed her Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2004 under the direction of Nelson Cooke and upon completion studied at the Australian National Academy of Music for two years.
Since completing her studies, Eve has performed with the Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras and toured nationally and internationally with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Eve has previously taught at WAAPA and performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra. She has been a member of WASO for 13 years; 12 as Tutti Cello and the last year as Associate Principal Cello. Currently, Eve is performing on a cello made by David Rattray loaned to WASO by Janet Holmes à Court. In her spare time, Eve enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. Her husband is also a member of WASO as Tutti Trumpet.
