Dandan Jingfei Wang
Dandan studied in Melbourne for 6 years with Fintan Murphy and was a member of the Melbourne String Ensemble for four years performing as a leader, concerto soloist and participating in masterclasses with players such as Dale Barltrop, concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony.
Dandan was a finalist in the 2016 Melbourne Recital Centre Bach Competition, the winner of 2017 Melbourne Recital Centre Bach Competition Australian Bach Society award and the winner of 2018 Melbourne Recital Center Bach Competition Richard Mills First prize. Dandan was a semi-finalist of the 2018 Kendall National violin competition and after a period of study with Margaret Batjer as a Kohl scholar at the Colburn school in Los Angeles, Dandan will leave Australia again in September to study at Curtis Institute with Ida Kavafian.
